The UK Science Fiction Live Action Role Playing Meetup

DON'T JUST WATCH SCI-FI ON TV. LIVE THE ADVENTURES YOURSELF WITH LIVE ACTION ROLE PLAY (LARP). Do you fancy travelling through the Stargate? Have you wanted to save the planet from Cybermen or Daleks? Live Action Role Play meens that you are there yourself interacting with other characters. This is not a computer game or table top RPG there are no dice with this! As most Sci-Fi stories have guns (Stargate Star Wars Aliens etc) we use an advanced Laser Tag system to simulate combat. These are not "rubber sword" events. You start the game as a character. You may be 2nd soldier from the left or something more complex with other skills (Scientist, Engineer, Doctor, Journalist, Politician the list is endless). Over the course of the game you and your team will have to figure out how to win the game through gathering information and making the right decisions. You could try "Five rounds Rapid" on any unpleasant characters you meet but that doesn't work on everyone. We are a non profit fan group who have been running these games for fun for over 10 years. For insurance reasons players should be over 18 years old.

This is the years big event running from Friday Night to Monday Morning with 7 LARP games orgaised.
The main theme for this year's Dropzone is the new Battlestar Galactica with 4 of the 7 three hour games played with a continuing plot.
